Chichis de Tatie Patricia (recipe verified and approved!)

Like all good recipes, this one requires a knack. However, once you see the result, you won’t be disappointed—they’re just as good as the ones you get at funfairs. Guaranteed success!

Ingredients

(for about 6 chichis) – 1 bowl of water – 4 tablespoons powdered sugar – 5 g baker’s yeast – 1 teaspoon lemon extract – white flour – oil for frying

Preparation

In a bowl, pour 1 bowl of water, sugar, yeast and lemon extract. Mix everything together and then add the flour until the dough is elastic. Put oil on the surface of the dough, and all around by lifting it with your hands. Let stand for at least 2 hours. Fry in a bowl when the oil is hot, taking care to oil your hands before stretching the chichi dough. Stretch well to prevent it from being too thick and therefore more difficult to cook!
